The history of the college department began in 1935. A two-year school of general nursing was organized in the 4th of August, 1935 on the basis of order № 9279 on the Peoples’ Health Committee. In 1954 on the basis of Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR of May 15, 1954 № 919, the school of nurses was organized into a medical school.
The department trains students of the specialty 09130100 «Nursing affair» with the qualification 4S09130103 «Nurse of general practice» in Kazakh and Russian languages. Training period: 2years 10 months, 3 years 10 months. The educational curriculum for the specialty 09130100 «Nursing affair» with the qualification 4S09130103 «Nurse of general practice» provides for the study of a cycle of disciplines:

Types of professional activities of a general nurse:
A general nurse provides pre-medical and medical-social care, while providing the following forms of medical care:
- Primary medical and sanitary care;
- Inpatient care
- Emergency medical assistance
To ensure high-quality training of specialists, the leadership of the medical college is forming the teaching staff, planning and equipping classrooms and laboratories. Classrooms are equipped with modern teaching aids and devices, phantoms and simulators.
The quantitative and qualifying composition of teachers corresponds to this educational program. Students of the department are active participants in circle work, participate in scientific and practical conferences of the republican and international levels.
Since 2014, students with visual impairments have been trained in the specialty «Nursing» of qualification 0302022 «Masseur». The purpose of opening a specialty: to give hope for the future to people with disabilities.
In 2015, the Professional Massage Center «I See, I Feel With My Hand» was opened, and the first graduates of the specialty were provided with jobs.

BK-3. Use knowledge of human anatomy in different age periods in work.
BK-4. Determine the internal and external causes of the disease; Determine signs of death and post-mortem changes.
BK-5. Use knowledge of the topographic and anatomical features of human areas in the work.
BK-6. Determine the symptoms of nosocomial infections, ensure infectious safety in health care facilities.
BK-7. Know: the main symptoms and syndromes of diseases: internal organs;
surgical diseases; infectious diseases; eye, skin,
nervous diseases.
BK-8. Apply the methods of physiotherapy exercises and physiotherapy. Organize a workplace for a massage therapist;
