"The best nurse of 2019"
On 17th of April in 2019 on the basis of the state enterprise “Aktobe higher medical College named after the hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova” was held regional competition “The best nurse of 2019”. The purpose of the competition: to increase the prestige of the profession, the professional level of nursing professionals and to continue the tradition of annual events in celebration of the International day of nurses.
The competition was attended by 15 nurses of city and district medical organizations. The first and second stages were held on the basis of the nursing development Center, where participants had to show and protect their portfolio, as well as pass testing. The third stage was held in the framework of the world Skills championship on the basis of the main building of Aktobe Higher medical College in two modules, which were held in one of the zones – areas of medical and social care: zone 1-care in a day hospital, zone 2 – care in a nursing center, zone 3 – demonstration of practical skills -intravenous injection, phantom hands on certain criteria: getting into a thin vein-5 points, in the middle vein-3 points, in a thick vein – 2 points. The participant who does not get into the vein receives 0 points . For each zone, it was proposed to perform a task based on the simulation of the patient’s needs for 30 minutes. Evaluation of the competitive task was based on the following criteria: organization and management of work, communication and interpersonal skills, innovation and creativity in problem solving, evaluation and planning of work with the patient, organization and conduct of work with the patient. All participants demonstrated practical skills at a high level. The winners and participants of the competition will be awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts for the Day of the nurse on may 8, 2019 in the Congress hall.A. Doszhanova.
