MASTER CLASS FOR SCRUB NURSES
On November 29, 2018 on the basis of the Aktyubinsk medical center (a children’s hospital) the master class on a subject took place: “Modern technologies in work of scrub nurses”, organized GKP “Aktyubinsk Highest Medical College of a Name of the Hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametovoy” as the Center of development of nurse business. 28 scrub nurses of the city and regional medical organizations participated in a master class.
It was not accidental the master class subject is chosen, the scrub nurse helps the doctor when carrying out surgeries. Respectively, the level of her knowledge and qualification has to be very high: not only health, but also the patient’s life depends on it.
If to look what materials and the equipment it is used in modern surgery, becomes clear how many it is necessary to know and be able to carry out duties of the scrub nurse.
This profession is connected with huge responsibility, therefore, demands big emotional stability and also physical endurance as operations sometimes can last several hours, and the nurse all this time is standing, has to be active and help the doctor during operation.
In the course of the master class nurses visited the operational block with which operation the senior scrub nurse Kadraliyeva Sara Zhumagaliyevna acquainted. Algorithms “Processing of Hands”, “Rules of an Apportion of Surgical Tools on the Operating Table” were shown by the nurse of the operational block. The senior nurse of a children’s hospital Saparova Gulzhiyan acquainted with central sterilizing office which is responsible for processing, sterilization and quality control of all sterile materials and the equipment used in the medical organization.
In a theoretical part of a master class moderator Nauruzbayeva A. S. – the deputy director of TsRSD Ao divided all participants into small groups and distributed a task. It was necessary to note on a flepcharta positive and bad points in work of the scrub nurse, to write offers on improvement of quality in work of experts of nurse business of operational service.
One of tasks was to collect puzzles on subjects: “Algorithm of washing of hands” and “Processing of the operational field”. The methodologist of TsRSD Ao Kojanova A.Zh. presented the presentation on a subject: “Infectious control in the operational block”. Organizers of the event in the performances repeatedly emphasized importance of exchange of experience with colleagues, need of knowledge of the new technologies applied by them and close interaction of experts of nurse business of various medical organizations with each other.Uchastniki of a master class noted the high organization of an action, a possibility of exchange of experience with colleagues and the importance of this subject when filling questionnaires.
All participants of a seminar were handed certificates.
