Сonference
June 22-23, Astana hosted the 1st International Conference on Nursing, organized by the Republican Center for Health Development.
The conference was attended by more than 500 participants, including international experts from the United States, Canada, Finland, the Russian Federation, Belarus, representatives of WHO and UNISEF.
Aktobe oblast was represented by nurses of regional, city, district medical organizations and deputy director of the Center for Nursing Development of Aktyubinsk Higher Medical College named after Hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova.
On the first day of the conference the reports of international speakers and experts, representatives of WHO and UNISEF were heard.
During the thematic discussions, the issues of managing the nursing service, assessing the knowledge, certification and licensing of nurses, the role of the nurse in ensuring the quality and safety of medical care, including drug safety, the development of nursing services, nursing education were discussed.
The second day of the conference continued with the work in the sections. Work in the sections was organized in the following areas:
Section 1. Leadership: New Approaches to Nursing Service Management. Certification: Assessment of knowledge, certification and licensing of nurses.
Section 2. The role of the nurse in ensuring the quality and safety of medical care (including drug safety). Development of the patronage service.
Section 3. Sisterly education and nursing studies.
All participants of the conference received certificates. Based on the results of the conference, it is planned to publish the conference materials (articles, abstracts and reports) in the Journal of Health Development.
